For the majority of people taking one of the luxury train journeys to or from Pretoria, it’s likely that you’ll end up spending a night there, and if so The Sheraton is probably going to be your best option: the same is true for anyone wanting to explore the area but not stay in Johannesburg. It is a large, business hotel but being from a reputable international chain, you know you can rely on a clean, modern, comfortable room and a good array of facilities like restaurants and a gym. It’s not the most characterful place but it certainly gets the job done.
