Day 1
Depart the UK for your flight to Cape Town. Flights can also be arranged from any other destination or a trip can be arranged without flights.
Day 2
Collect your hire car on arrival, or be met by one of our representatives for a private transfer into the vibrant city of Cape Town, where you will stay for three nights. You can start your short break with a tour of the city on one of the city sightseeing buses on your first afternoon. This evening eat in one of the many fantastic restaurants that Cape Town has an abundance of - a foodie's haven!
Day 3
Spend a full day exploring Cape Town. this beautiful city has much to offer, from historic sites to stunning coastal scenery; its particular highlights include Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront and Robben Island.
Day 4
Head down to the Cape Peninsula with its wealth of small villages, attractive bays and beaches, nature trails and wildlife to explore and enjoy. Stop at Simon's Town to visit the African penguin colony here.
Day 5
With your hire car you head out east to the un-spoilt and little visited De Hoop Nature Reserve where you spend your next three nights. This reserve is known for it's unspoilt fynbos, wildlife, sand dunes and marine life.
Day 6
Explore the reserve by bike or foot; discovering a wealth of bird, animal and rare plant species. Explore under your own steam or with a guide.
Day 7
During Whale season (June to November), the De Hoop is the perfect place from which to spot these majestic creatures from the comfort of your hotel.
Day 8
Drive to the Winelands spending two nights here. Choose from intimate guesthouses in pretty towns, luxurious boutique hotels or more remote wine farms to stay in.
Day 9
There are numerous ways you can explore the vineyards, on foot, by bike or by wine tram. Or self-drive around the Winelands and local towns if you fancy a day of history and culture focus rather than the wine tastings.
Day 10
Drive to Cape Town airport today to drop off your hire car before flying back to the UK.

Not only a destination for those looking for an extended holiday; South Africa is also perfect for those who only have a few days spare to explore some of the country’s highlights. This itinerary is a wonderfully relaxed taste into some of the Cape’s most beautiful areas. With an overnight flight, you arrive into Cape Town early morning, ready to start your exploration, maybe taking the convenient City Sightseeing bus to traverse the city to help orientate yourself on your first day and learn some of the history of this vibrant city rich in culture. Cape Town is also the best location from which to visit such iconic sights, as Table Mountain, Robben Island and Boulders Beach. From Cape Town, you take your hire vehicle out to the little-visited De Hoop Nature Reserve, where you are immersed in absolute tranquillity. You’ll get a flavour of some of the local South African wildlife as the reserve is home to herds of bontebok, eland and zebra, as well as marine life and birding. For the active, there are mountain bike’s to hire, hiking paths to follow and rock pools to investigate. You end your holiday in the stunning setting of the Winelands where you can taste your way through the many vineyards established here and dine in some of the many award-winning restaurants in the area.
