The old Selati railway, connecting the Highveld goldfields with the coast in Mozambique used to run through the reserve, and offer stops for those wanting to go on safari. Selati Camp honours this heritage; the public areas are decorated with railway memorabilia and the furnishings in the wonderful suites evoke the colonial feel those early safari pioneers would instantly recognize: particularly the fact that, at night, all lighting is by lantern and oil lamp. This, combined with the small number of suites (just 8) make this a wonderfully romantic option.
Sabi Sabi is one of the best-established names in the Sabi Sands reserve, and has been taking guests out to experience the world-beating game viewing on offer for over forty years. With the Sabi Sands being, in our opinion, the best place in the world to see the Big Five in the wild, you know you’re going to have some incredible game drives here!
